As in many languages, English uses capital letters at the beginning of every sentence, for the names of people, countries, for the names of the days and the months. Capitals are also used in titles of books and articles, for organizations and acronyms. The pronoun "I" is always written with a capital letter.
If your native language is German, French or another European language, it is easy for you to learn when to use capital letters in English. The rules for using capital letters in English is more or less the same in most European languages.
